Bright trip - Autumn Fest

i've just came back from Bright, about 300+km away from melbourne together with jacke n im dear cousin Im jie. it's a 3d 2n thingy, and we stayed at a caravan park in a town next to Bright - Porepunkah. it doesn't sound very nice yeah? but it is. the reason, the super main reason y we were there is becoz there was the Autumn Festival last weekend. plus it's a long weekend due to Anzac Day (monday)... the trees were supposed to be very colourful, sporting bright red, orange n yellow. http://www.brightautumnfestival.org.au/ here's the link, check it out. it's BEAUTIFUL!

it was warm in Bright, and we went up to the Mt Buffalo National Park to see some sights, went for walks (which were hectic considerin my poor stamina!), had a picnic and some barbies.. we were quite sick of bbq food at the end, coz we had like 2 bbq dinners n 1 bbq brekkie. yeesh.. all the beef, lamb n pork ribs doesn't seem all so tasty now.. oh, i haven't mentioned dat we had a shared bath n toilet. it wasn't an ensuite caravan, so we had to walk like for 3 minutes to get to the toilet. there was this time in the morning at 5:30am, i was so cold i wanted to pee, but i endured.. ahhaahha then jacke woke up 6am to pee becoz it was cold too.. kekeke it was really fun, the sun shining, the trees full of colour, full of life, n there were a lot of fallen leaves, just like wat autumn should be like. n we took a lot of pictures.. ah.. hehe, n Im jie n jacke said i was kiasu, for takin so many pictures of the coloured trees n leaves n all.. u guyz should've seen it, the place wasn't as coloured as wat the pictures seemed, some trees were red n orange, then a lot others were still green! we had to make quick stops at places where there were super coloured trees.. hehe, then i was called kiasu.. until the time when there was this small super reddy-orangy tree on the side of the road, with like at least 4 ppl takin pictures of it.. n they had these really professional lookin cameras with the tripods n everythin.. hah!

there was this walk in the national park on the hottest day when we were there, then we had to walk uphill n everythin, the walk took 1.5 hours. phew.. i tell u.. we walked all the way up to the Horn, saw some other mountains, took a rest then came back down again. the 2nd walk was in Bright itself, near the river. it's called the Canyon walk, also 1.5 hours. we were thinkin, well, the Horn walk wasn't TOO bad, the canyon walk should be alright.. wow, i tell u, Im jie had this stamina to just go on n on, we had to stop so many times to catch our breathe.

anyway, on the last day, we went to an apple farm, bought some juice n hazelnut (in it's original nut where u have to crack it open). then we went pass another farm where the gates weren't locked, n picked some apples together with some chestnuts dat were on the floor.. keke being small-time thieves.. then we went to see the autumn craft n art store, set up in the local town hall, nothin much really, but we bought some cute flour animals.. will show u with pictures later on. then we went to wineries, olive farms, cheese factory where we had lunch. we did everythin there was to do.. oh, we didn't go to the walnut farm tho, fresh walnuts have this.. really... erm.. not so nice taste. after all those we headed home.. hehe, n comin back to melbourne was so so so cold.. brbbbrrr.... will load up pix as soon as i get home, n paid rent 1st.. hehe
