Afternoon tea @ Max Brenner

i had a great time at Max Brenner today.. after payin rent for my bro, i took the tram (paid a bloody AUD3.10 for a 2-hr ticket!) with eric down to Melbourne Central, then walked to the marvelously refurbished Melbourne Central. it was quite badly ventilated, n i was imagining all the germs n bacteria floating around the air, all the while tryin to breathe as little as i could.. it was hard.. but u've gotta look at all the shop windows.. with glamorous clothes n shoes, n nice scarves for the super cold winter..

@ MB, we took more than 10 minutes to choose wat we wanted, u should see the array of choices they had.. u would wanna try the ever-so-lovely souffle, but the waffle with strawberries and warm chocolate sauce looks fantastic too.. there are also the venezuela dark chocolate drink, v. milk choc drink with a hint of vanilla and caramel, hot white chocolate in hug cups and the house specialty self-made hot chocolate where u are given milk on a burner with a candle underneath still burning.. then u put in ur own chocolate chips to stir in n drink. u decide how much chocolate u want in ur drink.. isn't dat cool? it's really nice.. but can be too sweet to some ppl's liking..

eric had white chocolate on a hug cup, while i had the venezuelan milk choc. then i had the choc fudge brownie topped with warm dark chocolate sauce n milk choc sauce.. eric had strawberry dips.. where u have 7 marinated (sweetened with syrup) strawberries to dip in warm milk chocolate sauce.. heavenly? yes, definitely! it makes u wanna melt, i tell u.. i was thinkin of havin tea initially, but i also wanted to take in as much chocolate as i could.. haha greedy pig..
after our tea, it was already 5pm, n there's a nice big clock that plays music every hour, there are 2 angels sittin on the benches, turning around slowly as the music goes.. it's quite a sweet thing to see actually.. once in a while of course.. melbourne central is formerly known for its shoppin mall Daimaru, which closed down a few yrs ago due to strategic purposes. it wasn't dat Daimaru Melbourne Central wasn't doin good enough, but they were switchin to different regions, closing down the one in Queensland as well n opening one up in Singapore. sadly, i missed the closing down sale, which i heard was very very good, everythin was on sale, nothin was reserved n u could get some really good deals.. oh well, dat was yrs ago.. imagine the agony of choosin Daimaru Inc. to be the subject of one of my projects back then.. ggrr.. hehe anyway, let's have a look at the clock, shall we?
for dinner, we (me, jacke, eric, ronald, wilson n cara) went to the cafe restaurant dat Mq was workin to fill our tummies.. the food was not too bad, n the price very reasonable.. i'm glad dat mq is havin fun workin there, at least she gets to joke n fool around with her boss n co-workers. there isn't much tension or competition (as i see it!), n mq gets about AUD50 a week for a couple of hours work. dat's not bad, considerin it's not really bz n u don't get tied up doin waitressin n not doin anythin else. mq's got a bz life with studies n her society (she's Ticketing Manager for The Chinese Theatre Group @ Melb Uni). she really gets herself bz n makes full use of her time, which i don't.. so i must learn from her, to make the most of my time.. hehehe instead of sleepin the day away.. :P
oh, btw, this is how wilson n cara looks like.. sorry ar, picture taken in a karaoke room, a bit dark! :P
