being a good citizen? or just bitchin? + PAINball

on friday night, i couldn't sleep. the tavern just opposite my house was havin a function, just like any other friday or saturday night. i have expected it to last til at least 2am, which doesn't really piss me off. i went for paintball today, which eventually became painball.. i'll tell u about dat later. okay, at about 2am, the music in the reception stopped, but the talkin, laughin n screaming were still heard outside. when they close the tavern for the day, everything moves outwards, which sucked coz i live opposite. without evesdropping, u will be able to hear their conversations, sounds close enough? around 2:30am, jacke n i tried to go to bed, but only to hear a big coach pressing its honks once every minute for passengers to get in it. it was terrible.. i wouldn't have really mind for any other saturday morn, but on my paintball saturday morn? when i have to wake up at 4am to get ready n meet my sis plus her frenz in the city? gosh.. ppl like those have no brains, n no courtesy. it was 2:30am for god's sake, HONK? i peeped out of the window to look at those lousy ppl with no courtesy, n for the next 2 minutes, the coach left. ah.. finally some peace n quiet.. noperz, it didn't happen. being a light-sleeper i was, especially when i'm not tired, i couldn't sleep becoz i heard large council vehicles and cars passing by downstairs. those large council vehicles are like garbage trucks, running pass the street not stoppin for garbage n all. so frankly, i dunno wat use it is exactly for. anyway, i couldn't sleep.. at about 3:15am, an alarm went off. it was loud, comin from over the street. jacke n i couldn't really make it whether it was from a car or from the tavern itself, coz i thought it would be crazy to break into the tavern when just half an hour ago a party was goin on in there.. we then knew dat we wouldn't be gettin any sleep tonight, despite havin to drive 2 to 3 hours all the way up to NSW state to play paintball. we waited for a couple of minutes then decided to make a police report. i called n asked for the police, told them dat there was an alarm, sounded like a car's, askin them to have a look at it. guess wat the police woman told me? "i'm sorry, we don't attend to car alarms.." wow, they must be REALLY BUSY to even look at a suspected car theft or somethin goin wrong. aren't they supposed to help maintain public safety and assist the public in dealing with all sorts of things? uhm.. or should i call the fire brigade instead? i hung up the phone, frustrated dat nothin could be done. i told jacke to call the police, again, so dat multiple reports are made n maybe the police could do somethin about it.. i may be lucky to be awake, but wat about those poor ppl who work their butts off from monday til friday, tryin to get a good friday night's sleep but failed becoz some alarm went off?? jacke called, but this time he told the police dat the tavern opposite our place had the alarm go off. we couldn't see anythin as it was dark, no movements, no suspicious shadows, nothin.. he left his name n number, n was told dat they will send someone over. 15 minutes passed, the alarm is still loud n clear, it stopped goin twice for about 2 secs, then came back on again. this time, we heard another sound, somethin like someone tryin to break the glass window. the window didn't just break like how the movies showed, the person tried several times, only breaking the glass maybe after the 5th attempt. it was a break in!!! it was real, our 1st witness to a crime.. is it considered a crime?? even tho we only heard things but didn't see anythin? it was so 'gan cheong'.. we were partly excited n partly scared! after another few minutes, with no police in sight, we saw a tall guy with little hair (not balding, just little like those u needn't comb) walkin down the stairs of the tavern n towards station street. he was tall, slim n fit, turning his back to the tavern only once after he was about 20 steps away. he was cool n calm, walkin slowly n steadily.. goodness, he is so collected.. we couldn't make out wat he was wearing or how he looked like, it was too dark. but i'm quite sure he doesn't have a jacket or a sweater on, maybe just a long sleeved shirt. u know how girls are quite observant in these things, moreover a criminal's physique n clothing. it's just a natural click in the mind, jottin down instantly watever the person is like n not addin any unwanted details. i tell u guyz, the part where the person walked down the stairs in a jolly manner kept playin in my mind the whole day.. i suggested dat jacke n i shine a big torch (we only have big ones) on the fella, to make it clearer wat it looked like. jacke didn't approve of this, "wat if he remembers where we stay n come back for us?" well, true.. but i didn't think it was likely. jacke called the police again, as they never arrived, when the guy walked down the stairs. apparently '999' doesn't work on the house phone, not sure with the mobile (call '000' from mobile). he was explainin wat happened to the police man on the phone, the policeman even asked him to slow down.. haha, it was really 'gan cheong' u know.. not bluffin u guyz... never thought we were so damn 8 to look at watever happened opposite the street.. kekek but we can be really useful witnesses if called to give statements of wat we saw n heard.. ;P so exciting.. keke

then came 4am, when we had to go bathe n prepare. the police had arrived, notifying the owner of the place. guess wat, by 4:45am, they were all gone. the police were gone, the owner was gone. the police didn't even talk to jacke as he went outside to have a look when he put away the garbage into the bin. it was a lil... disappointing.. we thought we would have an adventure or somethin.. keke so much for being a good citizen.. or do u guyz thinkboth of us were just too bitchy to do our own things? hahaa wat we did was right, at least we have notified the police of some suspicious activity. to tell u the truth, ihave alwayas thought of callin the police to make a report.. ever since i started stayin here.. i have wanted to call the police to ask them to shoo away the patrons who sit outside the closed tavern, drinkin n singing at 3am, ppl soundin their honks so loudly n frequently in the middle of the night, etc. keke funny hor? well, at least i fulfilled one of my dreams.. ;P

okay, let's cut the story short n went straight into paintball session. i haven't had much to eat at all the whole mornin, after the dessert in soul mama, st kilda on friday night. then we started goin for briefings n changing into our 'camos', those uniforms which were quite cute (if fitting). i was quite dead already, with no energy, i could barely carry the paint guns. before our group had even gone to battle, i got hit on my left thigh from some other groups paintball gaming. the paintball hit the ground, didn't burst n came right up again to hit me. how unfortunate. guess how big the bruise is now? it's the size of a m'sian 50 cents coin. yes, it's THAT big.. i didn't get shot or hurt in all of those 4 games (8 rounds total). i think this Semoz Paintball is a rip off. we paid so much, but didn't get much in return. imagine we had to all walk in the sun, with the camos n full face masks, n about 5kg guns.. it's enough to kill u, moreover i hadn't had anythin to eat. water wasn't provided, we were gunning a few hours before given a break where we could have some drinks, some PAID drinks.. wanna drink somethin? pay for it! the drinks were expensive, they should have at least provided plain water to quench our thirst. then the paintballs costs $19 per 100 balls. jacke doubts there are even 100 balls in each bags. we don't have the opportunity to count them, u see.. so they could have just conned us. jacke n i spent about $130 on balls alone.. scary.. n the provided lunch was BBQ, which even sucked. the staffs used their hands to put the meat on the bbq pans, it's self-served, they cook the meat, u take n eat. there was plain bread, cold pre-cooked pasta which only tasted like green pepper, n meat. meat including sausages, beef patty, n beef slices. dat was all.. how filling.. it was a rip-off, totally, i would say. jacke got a splinter in his right palm, which was removed soon afterwards. i felt dizzy already, i couldn't stand much longer. i was thinkin to myself, am i dizzy becoz there was just this tiny bit of blood on his palm? or was it dat i didn't have enough energy to bring myself to stand? i had to sit down, i was tired, my whole body was aching, i feel dizzy n sleepy, i could doze off just sittin on the floor. maybe i didn't come well-prepared enough, but i would say this is somethin i will never do again, or recommend my dear gfs who are feminine n not athletic.. nuff said..

it's 12:19am sunday mornin, the tavern opposite is playin some middle eastern music with this lady singing.. funny how i have this vision in my mind dat the lady singing has a big curly hair on her head n she's really overweight.. with heavy make up i might add.. adioz, sony is makin too much noise.
