melbourne has gone a lot quieter since 12 hours ago.. Lai Min & co has left melbourne for brisbane 6am this morning.. i would say the 4 of them have spent a lot of time with us, jacke n i. we talked about relationships, exchanged stories of how we got to know one another.. how the courtship went n so on.. of course, we did talk about the infamous story about me being late to the airport.. causin me to miss my flight.. twice in a trip.. then yesterday, they had a really full day.. in the afternoon, jacke n ronald sent them to Victoria Market in the city, then the 4 walked til about 2+pm.. n we all went for lunch.. barbarinos kitchen was closed, which was a disappointment, n we went to Yng thai richmond instead.. by the time we finished lunch, which was a quick one, we sent them to QV to meet their other friends in melbourne. they were an hour late for the meet up n their friends were tryin endlessly to persuade them to stay longer. straight after they say goodbye to their friends (they went to Max Brenner for Hot Choc drinks, a very big variety, will tell u guyz another time, plannin to go there soon), we went back to barbarinos for dinner... u guyz must be thinkin, whoa.. non-stop eating.. keke it's true, it did happen. there was never a moment in dat 24 hours dat they were hungry. before all food in the tummy has been processed, new food is rushin to get in. barbarinos gave us a table, n we had ordered some food, includin the grills, a fried rice n curry laksa for ronald. fyi, the special fried rice here costs $13 somethin n the curry laksa was $17 somethin. wat a kill, huh.. both the chinese food were to take away, as we didn't have much time to get to the airport.. the 4's original flight back to brisbane was 8:50pm. we were just leavin barbarinos at 8pm.. with jacke n my superb drivin skill, we got to the airport by 8:30pm, even tho there was ample traffic n the road was a lil wet. kwang zhen (lai min's bf) ran in to check-in 1st, leavin lai min, lai kuen n boon chun to carry the luggages. the virgin blue counter told them the air craft was closed for boarding, which was bullshit, n referred them to the customer service counter on the other side of the section. the air craft doesn't actually close the doors n hatches until 10 mins before the flight. i would know dat, given my so many experiences of being late to the airport, for domestic n international flights. the customer service staff 'chris' told them they were too late n dat they were not allowed to board the plane. by this time, i was outside the airport helpin the others to unload the luggages, n boon chun was tryin to carry the rest of the luggages inside. he was very anxious n nervous about being late, he ran into the glass wall right beside the automatic sliding door! poor boon chun, i heard the big 'thud' n saw him sitting on the floor the next second with all the luggages on him. i can tell u dat the thud was so loud, kwang zhen could hear it from the other side inside the building. boon chun got up n shaked his head. i could see dat he's in deep pain, tryin to keep his head in place n tryin to get to the counter asap. nobody could do anythin, n can't help but notice the mark of his head on the glass wall.. goodness, it must hurt really bad. the 4 paid another extra $50 to board the next flight, which was 6am the next morning, n we loaded the car with the bags again. boon chun was sittin beside me, we asked him to try to relax n catch some rest. he looked drowsy with his face all red n sore. his head was a lil sore at the side where he bumped his head, n feelin really heavy. he couldn't hear much of our conversations when he was restin, only when he did pay attention did he get the details of my conversation with lai kuen. we brought him to the royal melbourne hospital, fearing dat he might have a concussion, it wouldn't be a pretty sight. it's better to be safe than sorry, isn't it. it was a whole hour after the ordeal did he get to see the doctor, no x-rays were done, the doctor only asked to watch out for any increase of pain or vommiting. it was a relief to know dat at least the doctor wasn't worried, as i heard him not answering the receptionist's questions very well. after he was straight away discharged, we realized dat it was too late to go to soul mama's for dessert. we tried sofitel, which we have to take a lift up to the 35th floor for coffee. the cafe was closed, so we only took pictures of the edible x'mas deco in front of the cafe. they were really cute, not as scary as the mooncake deco i saw on a KL street during my sept trip back. we ended up at Notturno in lygon st, havin strawberry duo n chocolate bailey's cheesecake with ince-cream. the strawberry one was so nice.. gosh, i wanna have another one! after dessert, we went home n the guyz were on x-box again. hehe playin the 'Men of Valor' game, which is also a fave of mine. the soldiers get to shoot the Viet Congs n they would shout vulgar language all the way thru the game, it sounds so so so funny. i will be bringing the x-box back to KL in december, so let's play some games! oops, okay, back to the story, jacke n i went to sleep soon after, leavin only kwang zhen n ronald on the game. i can tell u kwang zhen n lai kuen are addicted to x-box already.. keke we woke up at about 4:20am n sent them to the airport again.. hehe with 2 cars of course, coz all 6 of us won't fit into a car. it wouldn't be nice if jacke or i alone send them back to the airport. i would say it should be quite a good trip, their trip actually, to come to melbourne. after all, in 5 days, they've seen the Phillip Island, Sovereign Hills, the 12 Apostles together with the London Bridge of Victoria, Australia; some of the very good places to eat in melbourne itself n met many of their frenz here. it's entirely up to them to judge whether it's a good trip or not, tho. but melbourne certainy felt so much quieter without them around... i will miss u guyz, n hope boon chun fully recover soon... Happy Graduating, u guyz..
