Goodbye 2006

It's the last day of 2006, n I'm thinkin about my days in 2006, wat I've done, wat I've accomplished etc. I'm also thinkin about wat I want to do in the comin year, wat I hope to achieve.

Today I've received a chance to do a good deed, and I'm proud to say that I have no regrets not goin out to enjoy the crowded atmosphere down at the city watchin fireworks. Yoon and his sis needed a place to move out today, and we've been called to help. There's a spare bedroom upstairs reserved for Alex in Feb, but since it's empty now, we've let Yoon and his sister to stay a while. 3 of us drove our cars to Yoon's place and helped him move his belongings out. 4 cars loaded (not even full) and we've got everything. I'd imagine puttin my belongings into 4 of our cars, and I'm not sure if I'll have everything in. :P Anyway, it's doin a good deed, and I'm grateful dat I've got the opportunity to offer help.

I'm becomin increasingly grateful to the man above, and of course to those who've lent their hands to me when I was in need. Most of all they would be my parents, for their love and care, and of course, the financial support. We can't just feed on love, put it in a more practical way, and I'm blessed with parents who are able to take care of me and my siblings, put a roof over our heads, food to our mouth, clothes to our bodies, education and so on. I'm just really thankful, for all the things I have, all the people I love.

It's the month of December, and I'm missing my friends. I miss Charz, Kai, Elaine and Joey so so so much. Of course there are the rest of u dat I won't name here. Not havin my girlz here with me is not easy, no where to hang out, no one to go shoppin with, coffee n mamak sessions, together with all our sleepovers. I've got to admit, I've never really had sleepovers at friend's place until I met you girlz.

I shan't go on for too long, I just wish dat everyone could be happy and healthy. I really sincerely hope dat I'll keep to my resolutions (i'm still writin them), mainly to keep atop of my finances, not dat i'm in debt or anythin; to keep my weight and at the same time be a bit more fit than how I am now. Yeah, dat's probably the 2 most important things I have in mind now.. Oh oh, n I'll make sure I do well in my CPA papers.

Hooray to Mz! Congratulate me, i got a job!

It was thru networking again, not thru my own hardwork tho. but i'm so glad i'll be workin right now, x'mas just around the corner, n i'd be left totally broke n wouldn't have any money to shop.

The weather is just a drag these days, i went to work today in a long sleeve shirt folded up to my elbow, it felt pretty chilly this mornin. then i was sweatin my way til the end of the day. Bugger weather.. Poor Australia is havin a draught tho.. heard on the radio dat there were about 20 homes destroyed in rural Victoria. I hope the situation won't worsen as the wind is said to have changed directions to the North West today.

Need more work clothes, short sleeve ones.. SOON!! i only have 2, n they seem a bit.. childish.. or inappropriate. doesn't matter, i'm wearin one tomorrow. Tmr's weather warmer than today, don't wanna sweat like a pig, since the air-conditioning is a bit weird.

Let me talk a bit on my work.. it's not really a permanent job, n it's not even really on accounting, which i studied on. Hoey Im Jie's fren Mark owns an IT company, it basically supplies all ur IT needs, from software, hardware, networking.. etc. i'm not really an IT person, u see, so i'll leave it an "etc". For now i'll be workin under George, the Network Division Manager, but THAT doesn't make me Assistant Manager, okay? i'm only an assistant to the manager. keke, i don't even know wat my position is called, if there is even a name for it. Anyway, George is really a nice guy, he works real fast n being a "mountain tortoise" as i am, today would be the 1st day i've ever really seen someone usin 2 screens. IT IS COOL!!!!!! George says I might need 2 screens when i'm more settled at work, coz i need to get a lot of things done. Gosh, there's so much documentation to do.. n i had a Subway 6-inch Chicken Fillet on a wheat bread. That's not relevant, anyway.. i'm hoping to help George in watever he needs, be as efficient as i can, try to fit enough things to call it a productive day. Hectic, i'd imagine, they have so little ppl in the office, which is pretty big. So far I've also met the GM, Steve, who's been offering my advice on my accounting career (he's a CA n he has a practice!!), Lynn (she does HR & Accounting), Bory (korean software engineer with the msn nick "I HATE WORK" ahha). then there's Chris (dunno wat he does) n there's the cleaning lady Cathy. Of course there's also Mark in the office.

Haven't been gettin enough sleep lately, i keep wakin up in the middle of the night. I can't really sleep face up, but sleepin sideways is givin me aches on my arms, which is nasty.. n i wake up becoz of dat. then when the sun is up at about 5am, i wake up again even tho it's not time yet. then when i get cold, i wake up again, when i'm feelin too hot, i wake up. sheessh, no wonder i have eye-bags.. mum n dad has said i've never really slept much as a child, always up n about. but i do love sleep!! n i can't sleep til 4pm on some days, given there's total quietness n i've been able to shut the sunlight out, n dat the temperature is just nice.. n i have been tired. hah! too much to ask for. anyway, today's also the last day of sales for Sass & Bide, which i am hoping to go but forgot. never mind, i'll save up for post x'mas sale.

So i guess i won't be able to go back to KL for now, since i'm gonna be workin. Payday is before x'mas, n the company will be closing from the 23rd Dec til 7th Jan. That's basically 3 weeks without pay for me. Payday is also every fortnight, which i think is quite good. keke well, i gotta draft out my expenses by tomorrow so i can give Steve a figure. I think he's gonna determine how much i'll be paid n how i'll be paid. Up til now, we haven't decided if i should be paid by the hour, by the week or by the month. Oh well, we'll see how.

So how are my girls?? n guys..? :P Joey's fiction has been goin rather slowly i think, but it's still fun to read. I read dat Charz has went out with Kai n Shuj, which is great. Albert's goin back to HK, altho mama wants him to stay in S'pore. Sigh, I miss all of u guys so much.

i guess i'll see u guyz in another while, hopefully in real life, not just online. But right now i htink i should focus more on work, n gettin more money for shoppin!! :P ek, wrong answer.

BTW, Jacke bought me a really nice pendant from Swarovski. There's the pink heart with a lil butterfly on the side. It looks like this, but the pink is alot darker, n nicer! I lost the diamond necklace while on the Redang trip, he's a bit pissed with dat. Well, i didn't do it on purpose.. :( But Thanks darling.. i really like it..

Anyway, i should go sleep now. Will do pictures another time, since i'm usin my sis' computer anyway. i nicked it from her place last weekend, now i'm playin games with it. keke Alrighty, love ya guyz.. bbyez :*

BTW, just a side note. The Motorola V3XX is out in Aunstralia, n Jacke's got one of the black ones today. Sigh, i kinda fell out of the SE 850i, wonder when i'll find one dat catches my eye again.

Slacker update

I've been on slacker mode since.. forever. So much has happened lately, n I have yet found the passion to blog. Emotions are still very much fluctuating, but very much kept at bay with Hero JJ by my desktop. hehe

Be careful not to get sucked in by his eyes like I would. Just adorable *sigh.

I've gone kuku the other day n decided to curl my hair for a bit.. as my curler tong didn't really work, I curled my hair up in sections (jz anyhow grab) n slept with it thru the night. It gave me a headache the next morning, with all the hairclips n curling liquid n stuff on m head. I loved how it gave me big hair. Charz, Kai, Elaine n Joey would have remembered how I loved BIG hair. I undid all the hairclips n made my hair fluffy. Don't expect to see nicely curled tresses, coz this is simply DIY and by all means, not pro work.

So, do u guys like my BIG hair? Throughout the whole process, I took 166 pictures, gosh, I'm so vain I can't even stand it. But u gotta admit, I do look nice in curly hair too, right? Maybe curl more than half way up to the top, not jz the bottom part.

Anyway, my hair is half black n half coloured, not too obvious, if u ask me. I would wanna colour it again before end of the year, right now it needs a trim. Ah, I was jz foolin around. Then on the hot Sunday (19th Nov), Jacke brought us all flyin. All as in he did 3 flights,

1st with Alex the China man n Ronald,

2nd with kuku Yoon, Linda n I,

3rd with Cindy, Venice & Amy.

It was great, since I haven't been Jacke's passenger for a long while already. Yoon was a lil afraid of the whole "fake engine failure" experience, altho I bet he enjoyed the flight. The 3rd flight should be most fun, being more of a "Roller Coaster" ride than a sight-seeing flight around town. We kinda took the usual route, Moorabin (airport) - Phillip Island - French Island - Melbourne City (orbit) - Frankston - Moorabin.

This was how Yoon was like after the turn, n some "engine failures", which made the plane all quiet while droppin a lil towards the ground. See all the nerves on his hand? Haha, he was holding on to dear life n screaming at Jacke the whole time. "Jacke, u don't f**king do that again or I'll f**k u upside down when we get down this f**kin plane!" Hahaha, it was so funny Linda n I were laughin our heads off at the back.

I did a lil cam-whorin at the back while we head north to the city. ;P

Emotional flood

My emotional being is at its low again, tonnes of thoughts are weighin me down, it seems so hard to pull myself up. I have been thinking a lot lately, maybe because I'm slackin in job hunting again. There are so much to think about, that being alone at home at times or being poor wouldn't help at all.

This is what I have been doin for the past few days:
1. Play Fish Tycoon from Reflexive, currently I have discovered 99 out of the supposed 400 species and in that have 5 magic fishes out of 7. The game keeps me occupied, I can stare at my tanks for a long time without doin anythin else. The magic isn't workin so much anymore, need other things to do.

2. Read Joey's fan fiction as the story still progresses. I must say that it's quite a chick lit. Very entertaining and very very nice to read. Learning up about the group in the story - DBSK has been quite fun, it keeps my mind from running amok. I'm droolin over Hero Kim JaeJoong from DBSK currently. He's got really powerful eyes, a good voice, and very very very cute. Remember my desktop post where I didn't put anythin up? Now I do, n it's JaeJoong's picture.

Dunno if Joey wants her fanfic to be advertised here, but they're up at this site. Lookin at JaeJoong's picture, I think I'd rather be obsessed with his looks than to be thinkin of my own problems. Sigh, I'm a runner.

3. My brother is in Melbourne! Me, my sis n him had dim sum in Sharks Fin House in the city yesterday, it was good to see him again. It's been.. wat.. since December that I last saw him. Mq says Wz's face sharpened, that he lost weight again. To me, I dunno, my bro has jz been so skinny all his life, I wonder if he has received any of the "Fat" genes. Wz also asked us if we thought his nose got a little shappier. Yes, his nose, and No, he did not get any surgery or whatsoever that is fake. His nose just.. sharpened up, jz like his face. It's impossible that losing weight would mean your nose would change it's shape (albeit slightly) but I know my bro's no Pinochio. Wz wants to keep his hair long, but I think he desperately needs a haircut, keepin ur hair long doesn't mean you don't need a trim. I wanna psycho Wz to cut n style his hair like JaeJoong's. :P Wz's hair length is about slightly longer than JaeJoong's hair in the pic I posted on top. See? I get so happy talkin about JJ, n of course my family too.

4. It's kinda gettin lonelier here in Melbourne.. With Albert, Eric Ping and Cara gone, there's really not many others that I'm close with. I mean, keep my family aside, there's only maybe Min Hui and Lee Inn left. Min Hui's goin back early December, Lee Inn's always busy workin. Oh, Linda's also goin back 1st December.. April.. I can still ask her out for lunch, but I'm not sure if she's busy. There's just no more other people that I can call out for lunch anymore. Alex the China man has agreed to stay with us, taking over Cara's room, but only in February. He's been around the house quite a lot of late, studyin n foolin around with Jacke and Ronald. So hopefully I can get more friends around here, a bit doubtful, since I'm not studyin or workin.

5. Job hunting has been slow, a lot of vacancies are comin up for undergraduates, one day per week. I'm not qualified of course, and even vacancies for fresh graduates require 1 or 2 yrs of working experience, which I don't have. Sigh, sigh and more sigh. I'm still working on some cover letters, hopefully will send my resumes out again in a few more days.

6. Out of loneliness, I called Charlotte early this mornin n talked to her for almost 4 hours. It felt great, to be chattin to her again. Afterall, I don't spend much on international calls, but when I do, it'll be a lot in one shot. Joey called me this.. evening actually. She woke me up, hehe. I only went to sleep at about 7+ this morning after the phone conversation with Charlotte, and woke up to Joey's call around 4+pm. Crazy time, I know. Talkin to Joey further brought me away from my sorrows, which was good. We only talked for about half an hour or so, then she had to go eat. JOEY, TAKE CARE OF YOUR GASTRIC PROBLEM AR, PLEASE.

7. Sweets, I've finished my packet of Starburst Jelly Beans. At least the colours that I like. There are only the orange and green ones left. Orange and I think, lime flavour. Ewh.. Don't like them. Have also bought myself a small box of GuyLian Belgian Praline Chocolates. It's only a box of 3, you know how big a GuyLian choc is. it's about a Malaysian 50 cent coin. Had 1 and a half yesterday, now finishin the other half. I'll leave the last one for tonight or somethin.. I think I'll die without sweets.

Finally, Jacke's last paper will end at 12noon tmr. Then I can somehow stop worryin about him not studyin. It's not that he doesn't study, I just don't see him study enough. I have to keep myself in the room when the boys study at the dining hall, ocassionally come out to quiet them or ask them to study n everythin. His exams, I stress.. Sigh.. But it'll all be over tmr. So he can start planning his flights on the weekend, Linda's younger sisters Venice and Amy plus their cousin Cindy wanted to fly around the city with Jacke before they all head back to KL. So because 1 plane can only take 4 people (1 pilot + 3 passengers) at a time, Jacke's doin 2 rounds, one with Venice, Amy and Cindy, another round with Linda, Yoon and me. Hopefully the weather will permit, Sat weather with a top of 21, Sun weather top of 28 degrees.

Sigh, what to eat for dinner? Dinner last night at Jade's is quite good, I love Jade. It's my default restaurant... Default default.. Dunno where to go? Jade. Feel like comfort food? Jade. Wanna watch HK TVB? Jade. haha, Jade's tauke aunty likes talkin to us too, and she kept commenting how thin I was. I reckon she's slimmer, she's a lil taller but we're about the same weight. Funny how an aunty compares her weight and build with me. Hehe, she's still thinner okay. Jade is a HK-style cafe restaurant. Very much like Kimgary or Mongkok restaurant in KL, but not as commercialised. They still have cheesebaked rice and everythin, but I'd prefer the Portugese-style baked chicken spaghetti. That's what I had yesterday night. At least the rice they cook here is softer and more moist than Kimgary's. I'd take Jade anytime over Kimgary.

Okay, cukup.. enough. My total intake of only half a piece of chocolate since 12am this mornin is not makin me hungry, just yet. But I don't wanna continue whining, so.. bye.

I'm a scare-dy cat

This proves it, i'm a scare-dy cat. Yoon, Linda, Ronald, Jacke n i went for THE movie.. The movie everyone was waitin to watch, the movie which will turn everyone's guts inside out and make everyone hide behind their jackets or coats or partners.. or whoever is beside them.

It was Saw III, sequel of the movie which wrenched our stomaches when we watched it in Nov last year - Saw II.

Linda's a hardcore scary movie fan, not the funny Scary Movie, but the real horror ones. We bought the tickets n some refreshments into the cinema, plz note that the coffee sucks in the Glen Waverly Village Cinemas. Cinema 3, that's where we were in.. Soon after we got in, the movie started, we all sat at the last row of the cinema. The startin part was already gross, with... Hold on a second, has everyone here watched the show yet? I shouldn't tell yeah? Anyway, I saw one guy hurting himself, another guy ripping his own flesh but end up dead, n another lady being chained up. Okay, dat was all I saw.. for Saw III.

Jacke wasn't very fond of horror films, n I was kinda not in the mood for one, so.. we tried to leave n sneak into Cinema 2 where they were playing Jackass Number 2. There was the cinema employee who saw us out of our seats.. Then we jumped a bit, thinkin we wouldn't be able to sneak into the other cinema. "Er.. we're a lil too scared to watch the movie, could we maybe get into another movie?" I asked. He completely understood how we felt and told us that The Wrong Man* was showing in Cinema 5. Being an all-time Bruce Willis fan, I'd pick his flick anytime over any other movie.

* Note: The flick is called The Wrong Man in Australia but named Lucky Number Slevin in the US.

The Wrong Man had already started runnin when we went in, but we tried to make out the front part so we wouldn't miss much.

I dunno y I like Bruce Willis so much, Josh Hartnet (pardon me, but how do u even spell his name?) was alright in the movie, except dat his character had to be punched in the nose n had a scar on it n everythin. All I ever did notice about Josh is that his nose is crooked! Morgan Freeman was alright too, the fact that he wasn't playin a super big character was a bit of a bummer. I liked Morgan Freeman. :) But Bruce Willis is still my favorite :> hehe Lucy Liu did a good job as Lindsey too, her cheeky character fits her perfectly.

So we were in Cinema 5 watchin The Wrong Man for 5 minutes then the 3 of them came to join us. haaha, they gave in too! Mostly because Yoon wasn't a horror flick fan as well n that we were already out of the Saw III cinema, so it was really big-hearted of Linda to give in to watch another movie.

The movie plot was a good one, with the twist and turns in between that really kept me guessing. I didn't regret or anythin because I switched movies, watchin Bruce Willis was the ultimate dessert for tonight. I wouldn't say Bruce Willis had a big role in the movie, or that it involved a lot of action like his other movies, but he wasn't the main character, so the focus wasn't really on him. He posed a lot, mainly stayed straight faced, or with that little infamous smile. Okay, enough of Bruce Willis, I'll keep the drooling to myself. hehe

I'll watch Saw III on DVD, I promise. :P

Earlier today - on My test:

I woke up 10am this mornin, bathed n washed my hair. Chose some comfy clothing knowin today will be a warm day n prepared myself for my HPT test at 11:20am. Tryin to keep my cool for the test, I did everythin I could from smoothin my hair with some serum, make sure I had a bit of make up on (it does perk my mood up a bit) n ate half a cup of Kellogs Just RIght. I slowly walked to the car at 10:55am wearin my sunnies n slippers, keepin my cool. I started the car n decided dat I should look at my appointment sheet again, just to make sure.

It reads 9:20am.. -_-"

I don't know if I was just being plain stupid, or just being plain stupid. I just couldn't believe my luck. I have only slept 3 hours at most, prep-ed myself for an hour, n now I'm back to square ZERO.. The lady who booked my appointment told me it was 11:20am, n Jacke heard it too.

Mum says it's poor planning, or no planning at all. INDEED, it's all my fault that all this is happening, yeah? That all of the bad luck is just my lack of planning, that I didn't look closely enough, or check whether I was being correct or not. It's never bad luck, it's always human error.

Jacke comforted me, tellin me dat he wouldn't have looked at the appointment sheet too, if he was in my shoes. Thx dear, but it couldn't be undone. I deeply appreciate your efforts today, cheerin me up, movie n everythin.

But yet.. it's another $24.40 wasted..

Pissed Mz

Today was supposed to be a happy day, Alex took his exam this morning, then he would join me, Jacke n Ronald for Yum Cha, which means dim sum here in Melbourne. We had our dim sum at Han Palace in Vermont South, then all of us headed to the Burwood Vicroads.

I was supposed to have my driving test today, 3:20pm. We arrived at about 2:55pm, then sat in my car for a while to get me to cool down. I'm always pretty nervous before tests, but I never filnched when i do exams or go up the stage. It's the small things that REALLY scare me. Like the time when I did my IELTS test? I couldn't sleep the night before!! Anyway, the point is i'm scared of small tests.

We got in to the licensing centre, n I asked if my Honda Jazz was suitable for a driving test. The officer behind the counter confirmed with me that my Jazz could not be used for a drivin test, as the speedometer could not be seen from the front passenger seat. *screaming in my head* I only had 20 minutes left before my test, Jacke n I drove to the Mitcham Hertz car rental to get a Toyota Corolla, hopefully just in time for my test. Then guess what happened? I took the wrong turn back to the licensing centre, n had to wait at the tracks for 2 trains to cross. TWO TRAINS! God is really testing my patience, even though I don't think I flare out very violently. I finally got back to Vicroads n this is wat happened.

Me: Hi, I'm sorry I'm late. Would I still..(being cut off)

Officer (Ofc): It's okay, but you're not taking the test today..

Me: Is it because it's past 3:20pm? (knowin dat there's a 10 min grace period)

Ofc: No, regardless of the time, you are not taking the test today, your Hazard Perception Test (HPT) results have expired.. The results only last for 12 months, it doesn't matter if it was a day expired, you would not be able to take the driving test.

Me: Oh, so when did my HPT expire?

Ofc: 3 months ago..

Me: But when I booked myself in for the drivin test, the officer said it would be fine.

(Ofc looks at the date my appointment was made, 23 OCT 2006!!)

Ofc: I don't know which officer told you that, but it's expired, you'll have to re-take the HPT and make another appointment for the drivin test.

Me: Okay, thankyou.

Can you imagine this?? I've waited so bloody long for the test and now I've f*cked up. So I took a number and waited for my turn to reschedule my driving test n to book myself in for the HPT (AGAIN!!). HPT is scheduled for tomorrow at 11:20am, and my driving test? You wouldn't believe it, it's 5th December.. 8:40am! Buggers.. On days like these, when I'm at my poorest, I have to incur extra unnecessary costs, this is just absurd.

• Car Rental (now useless) 76.00

Grand Total $111.00!!!

I would be so pissed if I didn't have to rent another car for the test, but now it's been paid for, n it's sitting outside the garage becoz no one has got any use for it. And come to think of it, who's fault is it? It's not like I have to blame somebody everytime somethin goes wrong, but analysis of the matter is just inevitable. PLUS it's not really my fault.

Primarily, it's the stupid male officer (he was in the office too jz now) who booked my appointment on the 23 Oct, n told me it would be okay to take the drivin test today. If it wasn't for his negligence, I wouldn't have to go through all these. My HPT expired 3 months ago?? Then by 23rd Oct, HE would have known that it's expired, right? Why book me in n make this unnecessary mistake?? Totally totally pissin me off.

Secondly, I wanna blame Honda. Why does Honda need to cover up the speedometers so only the driver can see?? It's not like it looks really nice or somethin, it's just so.. argh...

Forgive me ppl, for I'm on a rage.. It doesn't help when I come home, check my email and received another few rejection letters from companies whose jobs I applied for.

It's just not my day.

P/S: HPT is taken to test how fast your reactions are, it consists of 75 questions, all in video form where you're supposed to click the mouse once when you think you should react to the situation. Eg. click when u think it's time to slow down, stop or signal. somethin like dat. i nearly fell asleep the last time i took it.

Til I see you again

On Saturday night we had a farewell dinner for Cara, my dear one and only female housemate. Havin booked the Doncaster TGIF for 7:30pm, we were an hour late. Cara of course by now have left Melbourne, reuniting with her parents again in HK. Her mum was really cute, very hippy n fun, n her dad had a serious face, but he had a lot of patience, watchin us play mahjong with aunty.. :P Here are our pictures for TGIF, our last meal with Cara..

Fastforward to Last night..

I got my car back from sis, we had dinner together then proceeded to St Kilda beach (marina, actually) for a stroll. It was a windy night, n becoz Jacke n i had to show the others (Yoon, Linda, Ronald & Alex) the lil penguins dat reside in the water breakers of the marina, we were there again.. So here they are, these are the smallest penguins in the world. Usually we have to pay like $11 n go all the way to the Phillip Island Penguin Parade down south of Melbourne to watch them. It's like this, the penguins come out of the sea in the evening (during sunset) after their fishing trip, march from the beach back to their homes in the bush areas. There'll be about a hundred or two of them takin lil steps marchin home, n all the while we will be really close, sometimes within an arm's reach, n we're not allowed to take pictures of them. This time at St Kilda, becoz there wasn't any authorities there, we took pictures, stupid blinding flashes may hurt the penguins eyes, but i'm sorry, i had to take a picture of them.. a few.. So here, for my lovely readers.. :)

These 2 are taken from different "holes", the 1st one usin camera flash, n the 2nd one i used a torchlight, equally blinding.. but aren't they cute??

n i've finally taken a night shot dat i can actually see somethin!! usually they're all pitch black with some dots of light from the buildings. n guess wat, i didn't use the night mode setting with this pic, i used the "underwater" mode. haha dat's probably y it's slightly reddish, or orangy.. underwater pictures are probably blue-ish, n they'd need the red n orange tint to balance the colours.. dat's my take on it anyway.

Oh well, i'm hoping i'd be able to see my frenz again.. Let's hope i'll make enough money to save up for a trip to HK, then we can all meet up for shopping, coffee n bitch about everythin! haha

Sugar High

i know i haven't been blogging, but u know.. procrastinating to blog has left me with tonnes of pictures at frenz gatherings n events n i dunno where to start. okay, lame excuse.. i've just been lazy.. :(

thx to bf jacke, i'm on sugar high now... again.. for those of u who know, i'm a sweet addict. i eat sweets all the time if they're available, n when i buy any, i buy them in bulk. currently i'm being fed the Mentos Plus, blackcurrent flavored. it's the box packaging dat makes it so much neater (not needing to tear away paper for the tube ones) n so accessible.. for the past 5 minutes or so, i've chewed about 10 of them mentos.. yeah, i chew them, i don't leave them in my mouth to melt, they're chewies! not the normal chewies, chewies are like chewing gum, but since i've kinda stopped chewing gum, chewy sweets are my fave. jacke gave me this packet about 4 hours ago before dinner, n after givin away about 5 of them, i still have (SHIT!) 3 of them left now.. n i only started eating after dinner.. :( gosh, they're not even sugar free, n i'm told to cut down on sugar as i've got a family history of diabetes.

hahaha, i've just popped one into my mouth then "WEi!" my bf shouted.. *stunned* he took the box from me n took a pill for himself. "i counted dat u ate more than 10 in the past hour, u just kept popping n popping n popping them into ur mouth eh.." ((don't tell jacke it wasn't 1 hr, it was.. a lot less.. hehe))

1 mentos left.. *sigh*

i'll keep it for tmr.. but then hor.. if i keep for tmr then i won't be able to get the satisfaction of eating jz 1 mentos, would i?? *remembering i still have passionfruit-flavoured tic-tacs in the pantry* UHM... okay lar, leave it for tmr.

Topic 2: my weird liking
i'm using the word "liking" here coz obsession is too strong of a word to use. some of u who are close enough to me knows i have this "thing" for guyz who have exceptionally high-pitched voices. not the speaking voice, it's the singing voice. this means i love listening to Michael Jackson, Jeff Chang, Terry Lin, just to name a few. yesterday while i was you-tubing Terry Lin, i stumbled upon the name Vitas. some of u may have already heard of his name, or his singing, which is absolutely mind-numbing. i watched a few of his vids on you-tube, n found dat i'm kinda addicted to listening to him. some of his songs are eerie, probably becoz he sings in russian or some other language dat i don't understand, but mostly becoz the tunes are.. eerie.

Gambling

This time yesterday, jacke, ronald n i were in the car, drivin home from Linda's place. We went out for dinner at the Riversdale Hotel Bistro. I dunno much about bistros, but my perception of a bistro is much like a pub, dark, alcohol, big hairy men. No no, this one isn't like that at all. I saw a lot of old ppl, as in, retired, enjoyin life, walk with a cane kind. I would say apart from my group n the staff, the average age of the customers is 45. Probably higher, but i'm just guessin. The Pokies is just next door, so i saw some slot machines from where i seated. The bar is still there, but there was no one sittin at the bar with their drinks. The whole place was brightly lit, not as dim as i have imagined.. AND, you queue to buy food. Yep, how weird is dat?? No one takes your orders from your table, you queue up to order n pay for food (beverage to be ordered from the bar) then look for a table to sit down.

Jonathan, or "Ke Leng" as we call him, brought us here. For those of you not familiar with the Hokkien language, "Ke Leng" means Indian. No prizes for guessin dat right. ;) His fren works in the kitchen, so he basically brought us here to pay his fren a visit.. *sweat* We paid 15 bucks for 2 jugs of coke, n i paid 25.90 for my steak, salty, if i may add. The texture of the meat was good, there were some burnt parts n the sauce was salty. It was a so-so meal, too expensive for the quality we're payin.

After the meal, we headed to Linda's place for poker! More accurately Texas Hold'em. My 1st time playin this game, our capital was 21.50. Capital amount was alright, since our normal mahjong capital is 65 bucks, with the occassional loss of more than dat amount in the last few games. Not me lar of course, i don't suck dat bad in mahjong. But in this Texas Hold'em, i must admit i was a bit nervous. Bf Jacke, Ronald, Jonathan, Yoon n i played. Linda was supposed to finish up her 3000-word assignment, but i doubt she even touched her assignment last night. hehe We started at 11:30pm, n the game ended close to 5am.

It's hard playin with them, perhaps it's becoz i'm not familiar with the rules or even the skill of playin the game. Jon was unwilling to lose, no no.. That's not wat it is.. Jon wanted to win, to maximise any winnings he could squeeze out of us. Ronald was blur as usual, just following the flow, ppl play, he play, ppl don't play, he don't play. And adding to that, he drank alcohol more than all of us, downing at least 2 glasses of reds, n a Tiger, i think. Very unusual of Ronald, if u ask me. The time we were at April's house for the 70s party, he got pissed (angry, not alcohol pissed) coz the host persuaded him to drink! O_O Anyway, Yoon was rather vulgar the whole night, jokingly dissin off Jon for not playin n Ronald for playin. haha It was funny, but it wasn't really fun. Jon's attitude in the game, was like.. real gambling, not playin for fun with money. I know Jacke was alright, couldn't even catch him bluffing when he did. hehe

I played for fun, to me it was just passing time. It didn't matter if i lost all 21.50, we were just hangin out as frenz. At the end of the game, only Yoon lost. :P Jacke won about 3+, Jon won about 7+, Ronald broke even, n i.. Smart Mz.. Guess how much i won?

A GRAND TOTAL OF 80.. CENTS..

haha, good huh? 80 cents in my 1st game, i'm so proud of myself.. keke Although there was once i lost around 200 on Carribean Studs at the casino. That was my worst. I don't gamble very often lar, i'm not a gambler, okay? Don't worry my frenz, this is controlled gambling.. My loss at Carribean Studs kinda started with my winning at other tables, more than wat i lost, so i didn't really lose much of anythin.. Except for sleep, coz i was kinda like.. playin Carribean Studs at this hour too.. hehe Okay, enough about me gambling experiences, i'm off to bed, it's my bed time now.

Isn't it gorgeous?

Okay, i must admit dat i have been secretly lookin for a phone to buy for a long while now. why secretly? coz no money mar, cannot anyhow say wanna buy phone. my SE S700i still functions alright, but since i've used the phone for 20 months now (since Feb 05), i figured it could be time i change to a new phone.

it's really a good phone, except dat u can't accept ur calls once in a while (which is not often), n ur caller ID doesn't show ur contact when he/she calls (rather often). maybe becoz there was once when i dropped the phone on the concrete floor, it split into 4 parts - main component, battery, batt cover n sim card. all 4 parts flew out from my handbag n dat was a very "ouch" moment for me. so ladies, plz ensure u zip/close ur handbags properly to avoid any "ouch" moments like these from happening. but being a typical careless person who doesn't know how to take care of her gadgets, Ms See here scratched n dented the phone in every possible way. it's quite a good thing dat the screen doesn't scratch as easily, if not i would have had to change to another phone a long long time ago.

anyway, once again i have to remind myself dat becoz of financial difficulties, the plan of buyin a new phone has to be put on hold. havin no income n lil to spare, buyin a phone OR signing up for a new plan is absolutely gonna kill me. then again, let's move on to the MAIN topic of the day, the gorgeous new phone dat is out with 3G network. THE new Sony Ericsson W850i.

i totally fell in love with the w850i the 1st time i saw it. being quite a fan of SE, wat better way to support it than to get myself another SE phone? oh, btw, the w850i comes in white too. check out the video here. there's actually not much big differences in the specs between my current phone n the w850i except dat this supports video calls. bf kept askin me to subscribe to a plan with 3G so i'll have a phone dat i can at least use to call ppl. hehe, i'm currently on an Optus prepaid, n i've got like a pathetic $0.30 left. so i can't make any calls, n i only have 1 sms left to send, not to mention a local one.. an international sms costs $0.50. anyway, sorry to u guys whom i used to call n sms yeah? kinda broke right now, plz don't send me smses dat i need to reply to immediately, or to forward to other ppl. *note: charz, thx for sendin me the MONEY bee forwarded sms, now i can't be rich at all, let alone in 4 days time. :(

alright, enough about phones n money, i'll continue with my updates from the previous post:

1. poor me needed new (more) shoes/slippers. remember the turqoise havaianas? i tot i needed a black pair n a white pair, as advised by Min Hui, but i was wrong. i'm not as casual as havaiana thongs.. i bought a pair of white fashion slippers n a metallic grey pair today. cheap by Aus standards, but convert back to RM, i could get 4 pairs of slippers or 2 pairs of high heels.
2. had dinner with Linda, Yoon, Ronald n Jacke. Linda cooked Bak Kut Teh, NICE!! Linda's place is really nice n neat, if only i could be half as neat. :(
3. weather has been warm n nice, but it's still very cold indoors.
4. i only went to the women's conference the 1st day, totally skipped the 2nd day.. 35 bucks.. aih.. so sorry, MH.. but the 1st day itself was eye-opening, haven't been to a christian function for a very very long while now.. it's amazing to see how ppl can surrender themselves n let go of their egos n self-control to cast unhappiness away.
5. most laundry has been done, baskets are piled up EMPTY.. n all my ironing done too, YAY~
6. Mq informed me dat my piglet cd folder is in her house.. n i bought David Tao's new album *drool*.. Mq also bought Jay Chou's new album. keke
7. Had 3 drivin lessons from Ronald's couz Grace, a lil less than 3 hours, $90 spent.. *heartache* 25-mins drivin test on the 9th november, hehe, hopefully i don't speed yeah..
8. Mq's show "Mousetrap" was good! a tad too long but good.. it was very interesting n the whole crew did an excellent job. the storyline reminds me of Wz's script during trinity college, the split personality story, remember?? anyway, i'm so proud of u, sis.. u make a wonderful producer.. ;)

A Longish Super-short update

This is ridiculous. How is it that i am not able to access to MSN on my own laptop but it's alright on bf's laptop?? 3 hours of trying, no luck. How is it possible, that after an hour of writin my post early this mornin, upon finishin i save it as a draft before publishin it, i found dat my entry was only left with 3 lines? That would only be 2 sentences, knowin how i write. (long n naggy) It's the 2nd time in less than a week u know, n i'm beggining to lose my patience. The 1st time it was a super long post, then *chop*, no more. IE has encountered an error and it needed to shut down. This time i was lucky not to have posted any pictures, if not i sure make noise to Blogger.

ANYWAYz, my super short update..

1. Went shoppin for 3 days in a row: 1st day with Cara, bought same jumper as her; 2nd day with Linda, bought same cardi as her (cheap AX buy!!), then yesterday was with Min Hui, bought a polka dot mini skirt.
2. Had dinner with Diana, Mey, Lee Inn n MH at Chocolate Buddha last night, too noisy to talk, food so-so, expensive, not quite worth it.
3. Weather was so hot yesterday i felt as if i was melting, only a mere 32 celsius, HOT wind kills, dirt n dust flyin all over is super turn-off.
4. Meetin MH n Lee Inn for some Women's Conference tonight, inspiring and life changing for some, Jacke says i'll be bored within the 1st half an hour. He doesn't know i've gotta pay $35 for the 2-day conference We'll see.
5. Need to do laundry soon, too much dirty clothes in too many baskets, takin up TOO MUCH SPACE in the room. :P
6. Found my cd cases, where are all my cds??? Uhm, in my piglet cd folder.. Where's my piglet cd folder??
7. Remind me to call Ronald's couz to arrange for driving test. Hope she's got a stick car, n hope it's nice to drive!
8. Remind me to call Im jie to arrange for meet up tmr night before sis Mq's last show..

Okay, I think i'm done, need to go change for the conference. Adios ppl~ Let's hope i don't sleep during the conference yeah? I'll be good. ;)

Mooncake Fest

MOONCAKE FEST~
On the eve of the mooncake festival, there wasn't much to do at all, especially when clubbing was cancelled.. :( the mood kinda sucked dat night, but the moon was lovely.. n it was really cold n windy. Patrick, Jacke n i went down south to the beach (south end of St Kilda Beach) to take a walk. there was just 3 of us, kinda cham hor? but anyway, i took some nice pictures of the moon. keke i layed down on the jetty n took some pictures by holding the camera with my hands (no tripod!!) n managed to take quite clear (but not big) pictures of the moon.

3 of us sat on the jetty to look at the moon, talk cock n take pictures. heehe, the green on on the top left is how it's like under the jetty. dunno wat they are. but very geli-lookin. the jetty was a bit fishy-smellin, but it's okay lar, all dry n not much dirt, so i just slept on it. now come to think of it, damn, i just paid about AUD9 to dry-clean my jacket. hold on, have to check my jacket 1st..

*away for 5 secs, came back, accidentally kicked the bed frame, not pain, no ouch*

nope, no stains, no smell, phew.. Anyway, Ronald gave Jacke n i 2 mooncakes, like he did last year, how nice of him hor? Mooncakes here are so expensive, even the "Hai3 Wai4 Tian1" (Overseas Brand) mooncakes are sellin for like AUD29 per box. Very the ouch.. I buy my mooncakes when they're no more in season, so they're cheaper. hehe

^^ I've actually typed out the next part of the post, which is about my GOR cruise, UNFORTUNATELY (yet again), internet explorer has failed me... *sob* My browser was shut off n therefore all my hardwork (there're at least 15-20 pictures with stories n captions) was gone. My "Recover post" button only put me back to this post, so there. GOR cruise, tmr lar.. After my shoppin (most probably window shoppin) with Linda at Crown AX.. They're havin a sale!! up to 70% off! keke updates another time, nitez!! oh, g'morning!!^^

Being sleepless

Tried to close my eyes, they won't shut,

I sometimes wonder, how i really fall asleep when i'm not tired.
Jacke is sound asleep beside me, snoring away to wonderland.
Was sleepy at 9pm, been tryin to sleep for the past 3 hours.
I am as wide awake as it is 1pm in the day.
I am hungry, won't eat, i'll get fat if i do. Plus i never eat when i wanna sleep.

September 1st
My 1st few hours were spent on a 777-200. It was Jacke's birthday, n i came back to Melbourne a day earlier (i told him i'd arrive on the 2nd) to celebrate with him. It was also our housemate Ronald's b'day, n the guyz were planning a bbq party at home. Not knowin i would arrive on the 1st, they called for a stripper to come to our house, n stripped for R. They had Ronald tied up to a plastic chair, it was pathetic, n honestly, a bit embarassing.. It was really funny to see R's face when Breanna danced n moved around him, he looked as if he was disgusted. hahaa Hilarious! I didn't have the mood for the bbq tho, didn't eat much.

I've missed my car so much..

September 7th

Jacke n i have been arguin a lot, this wasn't supposed to happen. Have not been leavin my room for some days now, coz my eyes were too swollen from constant cryin. I've continued to not have mood to eat, n have lost about 1kg (agak only lar). n was STILL tidyin up n unpackin my stuff. i did take a picture of my "then" closet, but decided dat it's too gruesome to share it with u guyz. it's not dirty, it's just really messy.. haha no thx to Elaine who asked me to take a picture of my closet, now i look at it to remind me how messy i am.

September 14th

Celebrated Wilson(R's younger bro)'s b'day at the Forest Hill Karaoke. Have also been cryin the whole week, decided not to cry anymore. It's so sad dat it's becomin funny. ahah R/ships are jz not as easy to maintain as i thought. Lost 3kgs by now.

September 16th

Went to Min Hui's new place next to Marriot Hotel, she's got really really nice finger food supplied by her guests. hehe THEN went out with dinner n dessert again!! Diana brought this really nice Almond n Apricot cheese, which is extremely addictive. I'm such a sucker for desserts. Steamboat dinner was not very very nice, a trip to Soul Mama will always make my day tho.. Let me present to u.. *cue drumroll*

My FAVOURITE dessert in Melbourne: Chocolate Espresso Pot with Soy cream.

Im jie's fren Mark is very frenly, n he's really knowledgeable. Plus he can eat very very very spicy food. Mark was eatin from the spicy side of the steamboat while i ate the mild side, n he could even hold chopsticks properly, cool huh? There aren't any pictures of MH's house warming tho, haven't been able to get Diana (the photographer) on MSN. :/

September 20th

Girls' night out - me, Min Hui, Diana, Lee Inn & new-found fren Mey. All of us are accountants!! Except for MH, she's in marketing. heheh

Diana kept takin pictures of other ppl but not herself, so i took some of her. hehe, it's really nice to be catchin up with them, haven't seen them for too long. At least now i've got more company than i initially thought.

Woke up super early to go to the Tulip Farm. With another bunch of frenz this time.
